The Municipality is seeking quotations to undertake sewer main flushing and cleaning. The Rural Municipality of Springfield is seeking quotations for flushing and cleaning the sewer mains in Oakbank and Dugald . With pre-arranged mutual scheduling, the Municipality will notify residents of possible concerns. The mains are to be flushed and cleaned using a sewer jet at an operating pressure of 1,000 - 1,200 psi. However, a higher pressure may be used in consultation with the Owner to clear difficult blockages. Any solids collected in the manholes are to be removed using a Hydro-Vac truck. The Municipality will provide access for disposal of this material to the Rural Municipality of Springfield Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility (lagoon), at no charge to the contractor. While we do not anticipate the need to televise sections, or additional auguring, we are asking for those prices by the hour in case they develop. The drawings of the project area are attached and includes sewer mains in Oakbank (North Central, Central, Northwestern, South Central, Southwestern) and Dugald (All).
