PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Scope of Work includes the replacement of select HVAC equipment, including all structural steelwork, roof work, electrical work, fire alarm work, DDC control work, ductwork, and ceiling work required to support the removal and installation of new equipment. The work includes replacing the cooling tower and the replacement of units serving the office area, classrooms, cafeteria, kitchen, corridors, mechanical rooms, and restrooms, as well as the replacement of makeup air units, DDC controls, and repairs to all floors, ceilings, walls etc. impacted by the work. The owner is pre purchasing all HVAC equipment, curbs, and isolation rails. BID WITHDRAWAL OR REJECTION: Chesapeake Public Schools reserves the right to cancel the bid opening or to reject any or all bids in whole or part when it is in the best interest of Chesapeake Public Schools. The right to waive any and all informalities and to determine responsibility of all bidders is reserved to Chesapeake Public Schools. The Owner reserves the right to negotiate any aspect of this Bid with the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. No bid or any part thereof may be withdrawn or canceled or modified for ninety (90) days after the Bid Opening with the exception that Bids may be withdrawn after opening in accordance with the procedures for Withdrawal of Bids in accordance with Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia.
