Manitoba Hydro is issuing this Request to seek the submission of competitive Proposals for the supply and delivery of three (3) new sets of 12 replacement surface air coolers, to replace the existing coolers on the Grand Rapids Generation Station’s Units 1, 3 and 4, with two spares for a total of 38 surface air coolers. The existing surface air coolers at Grand Rapids Generating Station require increased maintenance due to leakage and other issues. As a result of this, Manitoba Hydro has identified a need to purchase new surface air coolers. Grand Rapids Generating Station is approximately 430 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg on Provincial Highway #6, which is an all-weather road from Winnipeg to Thompson.
