As of September 2024, this project is confirmed under construction. This Project is located at 17600 S. State Highway 78, Leonard, TX. Project increases the finished water treatment capacity of the plant by 70 mgd and includes construction of an Engineering Building, two chemical storage facilities, pretreatment basins, two gravity thickeners, filter complex, chemical injection vault, chlorine contact basin and clearwells, expansion of existing splitter box and thickened sludge pump station, installation of additional equipment inside multiple existing facilities to increase pumping and treatment capacity, and other miscellaneous improvements across the Site. Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable Bidder's bond with their proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the Project within Owner within 15 days of Notice of Award of the Contract. The security must be payable to North Texas Municipal Water District in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds, and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Performance and Payment Bonds are required, each in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials. The North Texas Municipal Water District reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the Bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, to reject any or all Bids, and/or waive formalities. Bids may not be withdrawn within ninety (90) days from date on which bids are opened.
