Award: R & B Contracting - $ 1,368,323 This project includes the installation of approximately 16,000-ft of 12-inch PVC water main, 3,000-ft of 12-inch FPVC directional bores and associated valves, bends, hydrants, water services and appurtenances along CR3280 in Freeport, FL from Black Creek Blvd to approximately 3.8 miles to the east. Project will be funded by the City of Freeport using city funds. The City of Freeport encourages women owned and minority owned businesses to submit bids on the project. All bidders shall comply with all applicable state, federal, and local laws concerning licensing, registration, and regulations of contractors doing business in Florida. The City shall award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; provided however, the City reserves the right to award the contract to a bidder who is not the lowest responsive and responsible bidder if the City determines in its reasonable discretion that another bid offers the City a better value based upon the reliability, quality of service, or product of such other bidder.
