Streets Master Plan. SCOPE OF WORK The project will be managed by the City's Public Works Department with assistance from other City departments. The selected consultant team is expected to work closely with City staff and at staff's direction, be prepared to provide information, data, or make presentations to City Council, the Active Transportation and Sustainability Committee, members of the public, and the broader community. The City encourages innovative and thoughtful proposals that demonstrate an understanding of the tasks outlined as well as other potential creative and forward thinking ideas and tasks that may be beneficial. The City foresees the need for a range of deliverables but with an emphasis on highly visual materials that can be easily understood and accessed by a wide range of audiences. The City expects a high level of innovative public engagement throughout the entire project. The City's expectations for the new Streets Master Plan can be summarized as follows The City of St. Helena is seeking a qualified consultant team to provide professional civil engineering, design, planning, traffic engineering, landscape architecture, wayfinding (to the downtown and points of interest, but not within the downtown as noted below), transportation equity, environmental clearance, and public outreach services to prepare a visionary, community-based, Streets Master Plan. The Streets Master Plan will incorporate complete and sustainable street approaches while evaluating connectivity and synergy with the City's existing transportation network to guide policy direction and investment toward improving circulation, public safety, and mobility for all users. St. Helena is a community that promotes active and healthy transportation and lifestyle choices. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
