As of February 15, 2024, bids received were rejected. No definite date for the rebid. Bartow County will accept competitive sealed bids for a firm-fixed price contract for the construction of a concrete ramp boat launch with a designated canoe/kayak launch lane just west of the intersection of the Etowah River and Douthit Ferry Road, as well as a trailhead with a graveled parking area and picnic/seating and landscaping amenities to support public outdoor recreation.
