Site work for a water / sewer project in Brooks, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of a new dam on the Bow River, approx. 43 km downstream of the Bassano Dam. TIMELINE: Project is in early planning stages. Hatch Ltd. has been retained for completion of a feasibility study. This Phase build on the work completed by PFRA in 1977 and examine other key project considerations including: the current regulatory regime, environmental requirements, a cost benefit analysis, a refined conceptual engineering design, and others. The goal is to provide recommendations on schedules and delivery of the next phases of the project including: provincial and federal environmental impact assessment requirements, stakeholder and public engagement, Indigenous engagement and consultation, provincial and federal regulatory approvals, preliminary design, capital and operating cost estimates, and final design for tendering and construction, should the project be found feasible. Further update may be available in 2025, pending completion of the study. *Cost and method of delivery to be determined.
