Any bid received after the time and date specified will be returned unopened. This project consists solely of making the drainage improvements to Farquhar Park, located 20 Gales Ferry Road in Groton, CT. The Town of Groton reserves the right to waive any formalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the form of bid bond or certified check subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Town of Groton is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Owner. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Owner in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Owner as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
