Renovation of a mixed-use development in Beckley, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
After the scheduled closing time of receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days. All bidders are required to furnish a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price if the bid is over $25,000.00. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Bonds in the amount of the contract price if the contract is over $25,000.00. The Raleigh County Board of Education requires certified payroll on all county construction projects. The Raleigh County Board of Education does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its procurement policies, practices, or procedures. The Raleigh County Board of Education or designee reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to make such selection by item or total bid amount as deemed to be in the best interest of Raleigh County Schools. Pursuant to Chapter 21 - Article 11 of the "West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act" of 1991, all contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State; the contractor's WV License Number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction contracts or agreements. Woodrow Wilson Buildings 2, 4 and Field House Scope of Work 2-Ply Replacement: Remove the existing roof systems and damaged insulation down to the roof deck. o Attach R-30 minimum polyisocyanurate to the surface of the roof deck according to ASCE-7 wind uplift requirements. o Adhere a 1/2" coverboard to the polyisocyanurate o Install new drain bowl assemblies. Apply modified base and mineral surfaced cap sheets. o Roofing system must carry a 30 year, No Dollar Limit Warranty. o Flashings to be constructed of two plies of modified bitumen membrane with all lap seams reinforced with a 3-course application of mastic and mesh. o Install new ANSI SPRI ES-1 approved aluminum metal edge, counterflashing, and trim. o Edge Metal must be covered by the same 30 year, NDL Warranty. o Jobsite inspections must be performed a minimum of three working days a week by a full-time employee of the roofing manufacturer. Coal City Elementary Scope of Work 2-Ply Retrofit Over EPDM: Refer to or provide a Thermal Scan to determine wet insulation. o Repair all damaged membrane areas and remove/replace all wet insulation. o Power wash the entire surface, including flashings with TSP or Simple Green. Brushing will be required to remove all mildew and debris. Adhere a 1/2" coverboard to the disabled EPDM. o Install new drain bowl assemblies o Apply modified base and mineral surfaced cap sheets. o Roofing system must carry a 30 year, No Dollar Limit Warranty. o Flashings to be constructed of two plies of modified bitumen membrane with all lap seams reinforced with a 3-course application of mastic and mesh. o Install new ANSI SPRI ES-1 approved aluminum metal edge, counterflashing, and trim. o Edge Metal must be covered by the same 30 year, NDL Warranty. o Jobsite inspections must be performed a minimum of three working days a week by a full-time employee of the roofing manufacturer.
