Renovation of a municipal facility in Charlestown, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Town of Charlestown wishes to secure the services of a qualified full-service commercial heating firm to provide design-build Boiler Replacement at the Charlestown Town Hall DPW Wing located at 4540 South County Trail, Charlestown, R.I. SCOPE OF WORK This Project will correctly size and design a Bosch, Weil McLain, Viessmann or other commercial grade oil-fired boiler from a highly reputable manufacturer with a capacity of no less than 960,000 BTU, suitable to adequately replace the existing Burnham V 907 boiler. Bidders shall provide a proposed project approach, statement of qualifications describing company and personnel engineering qualifications, relevant experience, and proposed fees for the complete "Turn-Key" implementation of Boiler Replacement, including, but not limited to permitting, design removal, disposal, installation, including all appurtenances and connections, building modification, restoration, and implementation to full correct function in coordination with the present HVAC system. The Scope of Work is as follows: 1. The bidder will examine the existing conditions and requirements of the areas to be heated. 2. The bidder shall note the existing configuration of the heating supply piping 3. The bidder shall configure the new installation to orient the flow of heated water FROM the boiler into the heat exchangers to prevent air-lock conditions. 4. The bidder shall not withdraw his bid within 120 days (120) after the scheduled closing time of this bid. 5. The bid/proposal shall be "Turn-Key" and shall include all costs, labor, materials, State and Local permits and inspections, set-up and break-down, disposal and environmental fees necessary to complete the work in a satisfactory manner. 6. The bidder shall collect, remove, and dispose of all wastes generated by this work, including nails and litter. 7. The bidder shall schedule the work in a manner respecting the use of the facility, and the bidder shall take all measures necessary not to disrupt municipal services. 8. All work shall be performed by a contractor licensed in the State of Rhode Island according to recognized industry standards, in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations and codes (ICC 2018 W/R.I. Amendments Building Code). 9. The bidder shall warranty all the work for a period of three years and convey to the Town any warranties as provided by the manufactures. 10. The bid-award winner shall be insured for general liability, motor vehicle liability and workers compensation in amounts sufficient to satisfy Town requirements for the duration of the contract prior to issue of the contract. The bid award winner shall provide a certificate of insurance listing the Town of Charlestown as additional insured prior to issue of contract. 11. The CONTRACTOR shall abide by all Federal, State, Local Laws, Codes and Regulations, including all provisions, conditions and stipulations of the DAVISBACON ACT as applicable, and all provisions, conditions of RHODE ISLAND GENERAL LAW, as applicable. 12. Prior to payment the Town shall receive confirmation of completion of all required inspections and unconditional approvals of the work by State Dept. of Labor and Training and Town Building Officials.
