Adams State University Central Technology Building Renovation/Addition Reference Number 0000365248 Job Location: Adams State University - Alamosa, CO Estimated Construction Cost: $6,565,000 Renovation and expansion of the Central Technology Building addresses functional program needs, code compliance and life-safety deficiencies, and updates the building support systems to provide a suitable workspace for computer services personnel to develop and maintain vital information technology systems necessary to support the mission of Adams State University. The project is located on the Adams State University campus adjacent to the primary north-south pedestrian pathway and adjacent to the south end of the grand plaza fronting the Rex Stadium facility. A number of student dormitories, the campus library, and the student union are located in relatively close proximity; thus, construction logistics, site security, and safety are important considerations within what is largely a student-life area of the campus. This renovation and addition project consists of a two-story addition of approximately 9,360 GSF and renovations totaling approximately 5,970 GSF resulting in a central technology facility of approximately 15,000 GSF. The functional building program includes offices, workrooms, conference spaces and an IT network server room with supporting spaces, one of which is an existing digital communications/fiber entry and distribution system. Protection of this fiber entry and distribution system during construction is paramount to all digital data communications on the Adams State University campus and must remain operational throughout the entire duration of construction. Scope of Services: The full range of construction disciplines will be required for the project and include, but are not limited to selective demolition, earthwork and utilities, sitework including flatwork and landscaping, concrete foundation, slab-on-grade, and site stairs and walls; structural steel fabrication and erection; decorative CMU masonry veneer; miscellaneous and fabricated metals, stairs, and railings; membrane roofing; sheet metal flashing; metal composite panels and cladding as rain screen façade elements, curtain wall and storefront window systems; architectural interior finishes including drywall, paint, carpet, tile, and acoustical ceiling panels; plumbing; HVAC; fireprotection; electrical; and technology systems including IT, AV, and low voltage security.
