Site work and outdoor lighting for a transportation facility in Alamosa, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
Site Directions: 2490 State Ave, Alamosa, CO 81101 The Runway Distance Remaining Signs, REILs, PAPIs, and Beacon have all reached the end of their useful lifespan as parts required to maintain the system are not available. The Runway Remaining Edge Signs display the distance remaining to the end of the runway and consist of a sign face with white lettering over a black background. REILs provide rapid and positive identification of the end of the runway and consist of two synchronized, unidirectional flashing lights positioned on each corner of the runway landing threshold, facing the approach area. PAPIs provide a definite white and red light projection pattern along the desired descent path to the touchdown point and consist of a line of equally spaced units perpendicular to the runway. The Beacon indicates the location of a lighted airport and consists of a rotating mechanism that produces alternating clear and green flashes. This project will consist of replacing these systems with new systems.
