Site work for a mixed-use development in Ojai, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and transportation facility.

The City of Ojai invites qualified contractors to submit a bid for the construction of a new bus shelter at 205 W. Ojai Avenue as specified provided in the documents attached. Primary funding is per section 5307 grants as administered by the Federal Transit Administration. Proposed work includes the removal of an existing metal trolley bench to be replaced by a fully constructed cantilever roofed bus shelter. Constructed work includes reinforced footings and foundation, steel and wood framing, masonry, roofing, finish work and minor asphalt repair. The project also includes the installation of bollards and adjustments/modifications to the existing angled parking lot striping, which will include removal of existing striping and restriping of new allotted spaces. The City of Ojai encourages Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), are encouraged to submit bids. General Conditions USA/Underground Survey must be completed prior to commencing project and all marking must be removed before final inspection. All work to be completed within approved City working hours. Approval for work after hours (nights) and weekends will need to be approved by the Community Development Director via a written letter. 72-hour notice will need to be given prior to commencing work. No parking signs will need to be placed by contractor 72 hours in advance. Permit for work has already been approved for all proposed work. Contractors will need to work with Public Works, Project Manager and Community Development, Building Inspector, throughout the project. Contractor will need to be present for final inspection by the Community Development Department. Some correspondence will be needed between the contractor and property owner/manager. All final decisions and major correspondence will be processed via the Public Works Project Manager. All labor (certified payroll) and material purchases, receipts, and documents will need to be submitted to the Public Works, Project manager throughout the project. Parking and construction zone will need to be requested prior to commencing work via an aerial map and all work and equipment will need to stay within those designated zones. Permit is only for work at the specified address. No permit has been completed for any obstructions to Highway 150/Ojai Ave including sidewalks, meaning sidewalks and road on Ojai Avenue must be kept free of any construction material and be left unobstructed. Unless a Caltrans Encroachment Permit has been obtained. The discharge of pollutants into the storm drain system is prohibited. All discharges of material other than storm water must be in compliance with NPDES Permit No. CAS063339 or any other NPDES permit issued by the State of California.
