Description

Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Federal Way, Washington. Design plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for the construction of a transportation facility.

A new Operations and Maintenance Facility is needed in South King County to receive, store and service a larger train fleet to support future light rail extensions to Tacoma, West Seattle and throughout the region. As of August 15, 2025, this project is in the design phase. Construction is expected to start in the summer of 2026.
