Renovation of a power facility in Coos Bay, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
As of April 15, 2024, per contact source, the Tribe wishes to keep private most of the project details. A construction contractor was selected through competitive bidding. The project has started and is expected to be completed in about 12 months. This Request for Proposals is to solicit bids from solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage system installers (Contractor) to; design, supply, and install two separate solar and storage microgrid systems to provide resilient power for: -Tribal Administration Building: Carport array of at least 28.8 kW-AC. With Inverter Load Ratio of at least 1.25. Battery Storage system sufficient for at least 4 hours of resilience. Modeled at 220kWh. -Pole Barn and Lab Building: Carport array of at least 43 kW-AC. With Inverter Load Ratio of at least 1.25. Battery Storage system sufficient for at least 4 hours of resilience. Modeled at 220kWh. This project is funded by Oregon Department of Energy Community Renewable Energy Grant Program funds. System components will adhere to the domestic content requirements of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, Elective Pay provisions.
