Proposed Interior Renovation Each complete bid (1 original + 2 copies) must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, or a certified check payable to the order of the Westchester Public Library, certified by a responsible bank for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond, execute a contract for the full scope of work, and proceed with and complete the work within the agreed upon project schedule. Upon failure to do so, the bidder shall forfeit the amount deposited as liquidated damages and no mistakes or errors on the part of the bidder shall excuse the bidder or entitle them to a return of the aforementioned amount. The Board of Library Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any technicalities and irregularities in the bidding and to hold the bid proposals for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of opening set forth above. The Board of Library Trustees reserves the right to accept the bid that is, in its judgment, the best and most favorable to the interests of the Library and to the public. The Westchester Public Library is a tax exempt organization, no sales, use or excise tax is to be included in your bid. Successful bidders will be furnished Tax Exempt Certificate. 2. By submitting your bid, you are confirming that you have read and agree to all of the information contained in the Instruction to Bidders dated December 21,2024.. 3. Bidder must be licensed to do work in the Village of Westchester. License fees are the responsibility of each subcontractor. 4. The pre-bid walk-thru at on January 9,2024 at 8:00am at the Library. 5. All items in this scope sheet must be accounted for and included in your bid, no exclusions will be allowed or considered and could be grounds for disqualification of your bid. 6. Any bid in excess of $50,000 to include costs associated with obtaining Payment and Performance Bonds in their base bid. Additionally, any bid over $100,000 will require a bid bond. All bids to include any costs associated with the above bonds where applicable. 7. Bidder is advised that this project requires Prevailing Wage to be paid and that Certified Payroll is required prior to any payments being issued. 8.
