No immediate decision shall be rendered concerning the bids submitted. After the bids have been tabulated and evaluated, they will be presented to the Board of Trustees for review. CONTRACT TYPE Bids will be based on one general bid package. See specific scope of work for specification inclusion & responsibility. Generally, the work may be described as the packages listed above. Bids shall include not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid shall accompany the Bid as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will execute the contract and proceed with the work. Bidders are required to complete the bid form provided. Sealed bids must include: bid security and bid form. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or to accept any bid which in the judgment of the Owner may be most advantageous to them. Bidders must be in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission. No Bids may be withdrawn after the opening of bids, without the consent of the Owner, for a period of ninety (90) days thereafter. REQUESTS FOR CLARIFICATION Should a bidder find discrepancies, ambiguities, and/or omissions from Documents, or be in doubt of their meaning, bidder shall at once, and in any event not later than Friday, January 5, 2024 at 5:00pm, notify the Owner by completing the Request for Clarification form who will include a written response to all bidders via addendum. POST-BID INFORMATION Bidders may be requested to submit a confidential financial statement and/or qualifications statement for review by the Owner and Architect, and attend an interview with the Owner, Architect, Construction Manager prior to contract award. Interviews shall be attended by Bidder and requested prime Sub- bidders, upon schedule notification by the Architect.
