New Municipal Garage. Contracts for construction, hvac, plumbing and electrical. Subject to prevailing wage rates. Substantial completion date 9/1/2025. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Contract term: 18 Months CR Number: 2105083 Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instrnctions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a bid security (i.e., certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of I 0% of the Base Bid amount submitted for C, I 0% of the Base Bid amount submitted for H, I 0% of the Base Bid amount submitted for P, and I 0% of the Base Bid amount submitted for E). All successful bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a labor and Material Bond pursuant to Sections 136 and 137 of the State Finance law, each for I 00% of the amount of the Contract. Article 17-B of the New York State Executive law provides for more meaningful participation in public procurement by certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses ("SDVOBs"). Bidders are expected to consider SDVOBs in the fulfillment of the requirements of the Contract. Such pa1ticipation may be as subcontractors or suppliers, as proteges, or in other partnering or supporting roles. The Town of Bethel hereby establishes overall goals for SDVOBs' participation under this contract as follows: 8% for the C trade contrnctor, 4% for the E trade contractor, 0% for the H trade contractor, and 0% for the P trade contractor, based on the current availability of qualified SDVOBs. Trades with 0% goals are encouraged to make "good faith efforts" to promote and assist in the participation of SDVOBs on the Contract for the provision of services and materials. Attention of bidders is particularly called to Lhe requirements relating to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract.
