The Successful Vendor will provide professional services to the City for the Naylor Mill Water Main Extension, in accordance with the tasks shown in this RFP. SCOPE OF WORK A. Design Services a. Civil and water distribution system engineering design including topographic and utility survey, preparation of basemap drawings, design of water distribution system in Naylor Mill Road including the connections at the Paleo WTP (Scenic Drive) and in Westwood (12" main in West Road), design of the water distribution system and services in the MHP, and design of the abandonments of the existing MHP water production and distribution system. b. Preparation of utility easement drawings in the MHP (Dublin Road and Naas Road) and in the County portion of Naylor Mill Road. c. Geotechnical Services as necessary to perform the water distribution system design. d. Attendance (virtual or in person) at an initial kickoff meeting prior to starting design and at monthly progress meetings during the duration of design. e. Design deliverables shall include: i. Submittal of 30%, 60% and 100% contract drawings and specifications. The 100% contract drawings shall be suitable for public bidding. ii. Cost estimates to accompany 30%, 60% and 100% submittals. iii. Specifications including technical specifications, bid schedule and measurement & payment section. The City's front end template bid documents will be provided for use. Customize the project description, special conditions, scope of work and bid forms. f. Revisions to the City's water model is not included in the scope of work. The contract is scheduled for award in March 2024. The design, permitting and bidding contract is 270 calendar days to completion from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The City reserves the right to negotiate and award additional phases of the project such as design phase services during construction, construction management and inspection, etc.) to the awarded firm via contract amendment.
