The State Highway Administration is soliciting bids for a qualified traffic barrier contractor to furnish and install traffic barrier around a salt storage structure for protection of the structure. It is estimated that this project will begin in early February 2024. Contractor shall furnish and install galvanized traffic barrier system to include the following: 8 each "boxing glove" style end treatments 36" above grade height using 6' posts All W Beam and Radius beam, 8" blocks and posts included. Standard spacing to be used 20 each rail rider reflective delineators 10 each post mounted reflective delineators Installed 36" from the structure Ms. Utility locates are the responsibility of the contractor Installation is on asphalt parking lot Timeline: Vendor shall be able to complete the work within 4 weeks of award (NTP or Issuance of Purchase Order) Location is the new fabric salt storage structure located at the Salisbury Maintenance Shop 660 West Rd, Salisbury Md 21801 Site access is available M-F 730-330 pm, excluding State Holidays. Vendors are encouraged to visit the site in advance of bidding to review and take their own measurements of the location. INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS The Contractor or Vendor shall maintain insurance issued by companies licensed and authorized to do business in the State of Maryland, and acceptable to the State Highway Administration (SHA). Comprehensive General Liability Broad Form, combined single limit of one million dollars and no cents ($1,000,000.00). Worker's Compensation/Employee Liability To comply with statutory coverage in the State of Maryland, all States' liability and Employer's Liability (Coverage "B") with the limit of one million dollars and no cents ($1,000,000.00). The duration / term of the contract will be 6 weeks or total payments not to exceed the successful bid amount, whichever comes first.
