The Town of Vershire is seeking engineering services to design and prepare engineering plans and bid documents for a structure to replace a damaged culvert on Mero Rd/Town Hwy #36.Design and Bid documents shall be completed by April 5, 2024 by 5:00pm. The design for this structure shall meet the requirements of the VTRANS Preliminary Hydraulics Memo recommendations, Vermont Agency of Natural Resources Stream Alterations Permit Standards, and the Town of Vershire's adopted Codes and Standards for Highways and Bridges. No survey, conceptual design, or bridge engineering has been done. Scope of Work: Project kick-off to include: Inspection of the existing temporary culvert and site, Review Town Codes and Standards, preliminary H & H Study, ANR Rivers Management requirements and standards, FEMA's hazard mitigation requirements, Review preliminary design alternatives analysis, Discuss costs and alternatives with town, Develop a final design for the chosen alternative including design details, special requirements, cost estimate and quantities. Develop contract plans, technical specifications, final engineer's estimate and bid documents and assist with the bidding process. Meet with the Town and FEMA as needed, Limited assistance during construction. The development of Final Plans, Specifications and Estimates will consist of the following Scope of Work.
