The County of Lake seeks the services of qualified architects and engineers with expertise in all phases of design and construction of public buildings. A service provider (or service providers) will be selected to enter into an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity ("ID/IQ") contract with the County for building and building system modifications and renovations to existing buildings. It is anticipated that architectural firms will lead full teams of engineers and related consultants. The County intends to establish one list of qualified firms from this solicitation and enter into a three-year General Services Agreement (GSA) with one or more of those firms for on-call services, with an option of two additional one-year extensions. BACKGROUND: The County recently adopted its first-ever Facilities Capital Improvement Plan, which includes approximately 100 capital projects with estimated project costs nearing $100 million. Through the establishment of an ongoing contractual relationship with architecture and engineering firms, the County intends to maximize its capability to implement building and building system modifications and renovations. SCOPE OF WORK: The GSA will include the general provisions for the contractual agreement between the County and the consultant. Subsequent supplemental service agreements will be executed that describe the specific scope of services to be completed by the consultant. Service providers may be assigned multiple and varied projects based on the location and nature of the services required and the qualifications and resources of the service providers. The County of Lake reserves the right to reject any or all responses, to withhold consideration of incomplete responses, to waive informalities or minor irregularities, or request additional information of the responders at its discretion, and reserves the right to terminate the solicitation and/or evaluation process at any time. Acceptance of a SOQ or other material during the selection process does not constitute a contract and does not obligate the County of Lake to award funds. Funding is subject to final contract approval by the Lake County Board of Supervisors. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
