Bidders will be able to view preliminary results via e-Builder as soon as the bids are opened and will be notified of the results within fourteen (14) days of the date set above for bids to be received. The Contract shall be awarded by the Governing Body of the Owner at the sole and complete discretion of such Governing Body. The City of Shawnee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in bids. The scope of this project will require the submission of a proposed maintenance for designated shrub beds and medians located in City park grounds or on City right-of-way and to develop a maintenance plan outlining how the shrub beds and medians will be cared for from February 23, 2024 until October 31, 2024. The scope of work will also include a breakdown of costs providing routine maintenance for the existing shrubs and ornamental grasses at each facility. The project includes twenty-eight (28) parks and facilities. This project will only be available for obtain and bidding online and there will be no public opening of online bid documents. No pre-bid meeting will be held for this project. Each Bidder shall upload and/or file with their bid a cashiers check, certified check, or bid bond drawn on an acceptable bank in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid Bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders, with the exception of the second qualifying bidder, at such time as their bids are rejected. All bidders shall verify that they have considered all issued addenda. Any addenda issued during the time of bidding shall be covered and included in the bid. There will be no clarifications or exceptions allowed on the Bid. Bids are for unit prices, and a total contract price. Each bid shall be made on a proposal form included with the bid documents. Bids shall be submitted online as indicated on the e-Builder website. An officer of the firm making such proposal shall properly execute all proposal forms. Bids received after the time and date above specified shall not be considered.
