This project is for demolition of Toll Plazas at MM 147, 177, 182, & 183 associated with the conversion to cashless tolling in Lyon and Shawnee County.. Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA) is requesting digital bid proposals for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work in accordance with the Plans and Specifications and other Contract Documents, known as KTA Contract No. 8004, Lyon and Shawnee County, Kansas. TYPE OF WORK: This project is for demolition of Toll Plazas at MM 147, 177, 182 & 183 associated with the conversion to cashless tolling. PRE-QUALIFICATION. Bids will only be accepted by Contractors that are pre-qualified by the Kansas Department of Transportation. The award of each contract shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Standard Specifications of the Kansas Department of Transportation, edition of 2015, and will be based upon the summation of the products of the unit prices and the approximate quantities. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity therein, to determine which is the lowest responsible bid most suitable to the Authority. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of bid and payable to the Kansas Turnpike Authority, which can be uploaded directly to Bid Express or use the digital bond method. Simultaneously with his delivery of the executed Contract, the Contractor shall furnish a surety bond or bonds as security for faithful performance of this Contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor on the project under this Contract and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract. The surety on such bond or bonds shall be a duly authorized surety company satisfactory to the Authority.
