Questionsreceived less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The Project includes the following Work: This project is approximately 3,300 linear feet in length and will include grading, new placement of roadway, asphalt pavement, sidewalk, storm sewer, curb inlets, street lighting, retaining walls, pavement markings, seeding, sodding, and other related items. Bids are requested for the following Contract: 80th Street, Millridge Street to Woodland Road City of Shawnee, Johnson County, Kansas City Project No. 3589 The Project has a duration of 300 days from Notice to Proceed to reach Substantial Completion and 320 days from Notice to Proceed reach Final Completion of Phase 1 and 2 of the project. Phase 1 of the project shall reach Substantial Completion by November 16, 2024. A winter construction suspension of work is anticipated from November 16, 2024 to March 17, 2025. The Owner anticipates the Notice to Proceed will be issued on approximately May 1, 2024. Each Bidder shall provide with their Bid a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check, in an amount not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Bid security will be returned to the unsuccessful Bidders as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. Clarifications or exceptions are not allowed on the Bid. Bids received after the time and date specified for receipt of Bids will not be considered. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids. The Contract will be awarded by the Governing Body of the Owner at the complete and sole discretion of such Governing Body.
