The City of Athens is seeking quotes from Licensed Plumbers to remove and replace 20 feet of 2-inch galvanized steel sink drain line located at the water treatment plant. The Licensed Plumber shall provide all necessary equipment and man power to remove a 2-inch galvanized steel drain line approximately 20 feet in length and replace with a new pvc line. The drain line is located at the ceiling of a room approximately 18 feet off of the floor. MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS: o Licensed Plumber must file a permit with The City of Athens at the Development Services Center located at 501 US-175 Business, Athens, Texas 75751 before any work can be started. o Replacement line must be PVC. o New pipe must be installed according to current plumbing standards. o Job must pass a final inspection before payment will be issued. o Any cutting into concrete floor or walls will require an asbestos test, work can proceed once test results have been received and evaluated. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
