Kingsdale Parking Garage Material Testing and Inspection Services The City of Upper Arlington is seeking a vendor to provide Material Testing and Inspection Services for the Kingsdale Parking Garage. INTRODUCTION The City of Upper Arlington (hereinafter the Owner) requests submissions to provide Material Testing and Inspection Services for this project as identified in this Request for Qualifications (RFQ). Firms who meet the requirements described in this bulletin are invited to apply for consideration of their firm to provide services for this project. This request is meant to include all material testing and inspection services as required for the project. Please carefully read all of the instructions, specifications, and terms and conditions provided in this RFQ. The remaining sections outline the requirements of the RFQ including instructions and requested information, selection criteria, and general requirements. LOCATION Kingsdale Shopping Center is located at 3061 Kingsdale Center GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project is being designed and will be constructed to comply with the Ohio Building Code in effect at the time of design submission. For purposes of this RFQ, this project scope consists of the following: Approximately 60,000 square feet 2 stories, 326 parking spaces Cost of the Work $7.9 Million Estimate PROJECT SCHEDULE The project is currently out to bid. The City anticipates awarding a contract in early February. Site work will begin on April 1, 2024 and be completed by November 18, 2024. Questions must be provided to City of Upper Arlington by 8:00 AM on January 17, 2022 in order to allow an answer to be distributed to all interested parties. No answers will be provided to questions received after this time and date. MATERIAL TESTING AND INSPECTION SERVICES SELECTION PROCESS The material testing and inspection firm will be selected based on qualifications and experience presented. Once responses have been received, the Owner will review all responses using objective selection criteria based on professional qualifications. Note that participating in this RFQ process in no way obligates the Owner to pursue an agreement with the Firm. The Firm agrees that its response shall remain valid for 90 days from the RFQ due date and may be extended beyond that time by mutual agreement. The Firm should assume that all terms and conditions specified in this request and any addendum hereto, and the Firm's response to this RFQ, would be incorporated into the agreement executed between The Owner and the successful Firm. Any acceptance of a response is contingent upon execution of a written agreement suitable to both parties, and the Owner shall not be contractually bound to any Firm prior to the execution of such written agreement. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
