This project will improve multiple areas around the City through drainage infrastructure improvements, concrete sidewalk installation, EV charging infrastructure, and Curb and Gutter replacement. Installation will be in accordance with City standards and technical specifications as well as installing a new electric vehicle (EV) charging station on the west side of Garmisch Street. Garmisch Street Improvements: This project focuses on installing new sections of concrete sidewalk in 2 locations to improve pedestrian connectivity as well as installing new EV charging station. The first location along Koch Park will install approximately 300ft of concrete sidewalk, one bidirectional ADA ramp, 2 off-street EV charging station concrete pads, 2 on-street parallel EV charging station pads, and 400ft of electrical conduit trenching. The second location, a block north, will install approximately 125ft of concrete sidewalk, one bidirectional ADA ramp, a small amount of paver replacement, and one concrete alley apron. Asphalt replacement and some minimal regrading are necessary. ADA ramps to be replaced and installed per plan. Reference Exhibit H for Construction Drawings. General Concrete Replacement: This portion of the project will include Curb and Gutter replacement for 3 blocks and the replacement of 3 ADA ramps in Aspen. Additional replacement of existing City of Aspen infrastructure in the right of way (ROW) per Engineering Standards to be included on an as needed basis.
