The work of this contract comprises of the remediation to repair the erosional damage to the southern bank of the Little Saskatchewan River at a pedestrian bridge within the Town of Minnedosa, MB. The pedestrian bridge is located north of 2nd Avenue SW, near Tanner's Crossing Elementary School. The works will include developing site access, removal and reinstallation of chain link fencing, vegetation removal, slope regrading, placement of geotextile, placement of rockfill riprap material, and revegetation of the work area. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond and an Agreement to Bond, issued by a Surety Company licensed to conduct business in Canada, and acceptable to the Owner. The Bid Bond shall be in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of total bid price. The Bid Bond shall be valid for a period of not less than sixty (60) days from the date of tender A performance bond of a company registered to conduct the business of a surety in Manitoba, in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price; and A labour and materials bond of a company registered to conduct the business of a surety in Manitoba, in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price. General liability insurance shall be in the joint names of the Contractor, the Owner, and theConsultant, withlimits of not less than $2,000,000 per occurrence and with a property damage deductible not exceeding $2,500.The insurance coverage shall not be less than the insurance required by IBC Form 2100, or its equivalentreplacement, provided that IBC Form 2100 shall contain the latest edition of the relevant CCDC endorsementform. To achieve the desired limit, umbrella, or excess liability insurance may be used. All liability coverage shallbe maintained for completed operations hazards from the date of Substantial Performance of the Work, as set outin the certificate of Substantial Performance of the Work, on an ongoing basis for a period of 6 years followingSubstantial Performance of the Work. Where the Contractor maintains a single, blanket policy, the addition ofthe Owner and the Consultant is limited to liability arising out of the Work and all operations necessary orincidental thereto. The policy shall be endorsed to provide the Owner with not less than 30 days notice in writingin advance of any cancellation, and of change or amendment restricting coverage.
