The City of Athens is Seeking Quotations for the Purchase and Installation of a 60 Hp Well Pump, Motor and New Wire From a Well
Depth of Approximately 460 Feet. Well Site is Located at 917 East Lane Street Athens, Texas 75751.
Scope:
The Repair Work Shall Include, but May Not Be Limited to, the Following Items:
1. Initial on-site Inspection of the Submersible Pump, Motor, and Column Piping to Determine How Many, if Any, Sticks of Column
Piping Need to Be Replaced Prior to Reinstallation.
2. Motor, Pump, Pipe and Wiring Have All Been Removed From the Well.
3. Pump Setting Depth is Approximately 460 Feet
4. Contractor Shall Furnish and Install a New Pump and Motor Matching the Existing 60 Hp Submersible Franklin Motor and Pump
Performance.
5. Contractor Shall Supply and Install New Wiring Rated for the New Pump and Motor. Cable Shall Be Secured to the Discharge
Pipe When Resetting the Pump and Motor.
6. Any Banding or Hardware Used in the Assembly of the Well Pump, Motor, or Wiring Shall Be Stainless Steel.
7. Contractor Shall Install 460 Feet of 1" Pvc for Later Use of Monitoring the Water Level.
8. Contractor Shall Modify the Well Head Plate to Accept the 1" Pvc and 1" Threaded Pipe Cap.
9. Perform a Test Run to Ensure Pump and Motor Operate as Expected and Within Manufactures Specs.
10. Quotations Shall Provide Unit Prices for Submersible Cable, Pump, Column Pipe, Motor, Valves, and Other Ancillary Items
Needed for a Complete, in-place Functioning Groundwater Well.
11. All Prices Shall Be Fob Destination.
Minimum Specifications:
1. Submersible Motor Shall Be a 60 Hp Franklin, 460 Vac, 3450 Rpm, Matching the Model and Performance Specifications of
The Existing Motor or City Approved Equal.
2. Well and All Components Entering Well Must Be Disinfected According to Awwa Spec C654-13
Insurance Requirements
o Insurance is Required in the Performance of This Work. Contractor Will Be Required to Have and Maintain Statutory
Workers' Compensation Insurance, and Commercial General Liability Insurance With Limits of Not Less Than $500,000
Per Occurrence and $1,000,000 Aggregate Prior to Starting Work.
o the City Reserves the Right to Establish That These Insurance Requirements Are Met and Complied With Prior to Any
Contractual Agreement Being Entered Into. The Cost of Such Insurance is the Service Provider's Responsibility. Failure
