The project is bid as a lump sum bid and awarded to one bidder for the complete project including all materials, labor, equipment and incidentals to satisfactorily complete the pro project: Resurface one mile on Meridian Ave., 1/2-mile north of 26th Rd. and 1/2-mile south of 26th Rd. on Meridian Ave. All bids shall be completed and signed on the Town of Loyal Bid Form Project -Meridian Ave. found on the web- site online. Aggregate material shall be compacted following specification 305.3.2 Compaction. Supply, apply, compact and grade with 5/8" crushed granite. 26 feet wide by 6 inches thick, compacted for one mile. Aggregate shall meet all Wisconsin Department of Transportation applicable standards and specifications. Aggregate shall come from a Wisconsin Department of Transportation certified pit that has been tested for wear and soundness. Aggregate must be uniform in quality and free from wood, soil and other deleterious materials. The vendor shall provide a sieve analysis of the material in which the sample has been obtained from the source stockpile following specification 860. The material must be at an acceptable moisture content meeting 860.4, maximum 7 percent. No water shall be added after the final production process. The material must be loaded from a stockpile that has had enough time to allow sufficient amount of process water to drain out of the material to prevent saturation. Moisture needed for compaction shall be added after the material is weighed and placed on the road. Digitally printed tickets from a certified scale are required for each load, meeting specification 109 Measurement and Payment. Aggregate shall be in accordance with the requirements of the "State of Wisconsin Standard Specifications for High- way and Structure Construction, Section 301 and 305. The supplier will be responsible for performing all testing. The project shall be completed and invoice delivered to the town by June 1, 2024, $500 per day penalty if not completed on time The town will obtain all necessary permits. The Town of Loyal reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The awarded bid will be to the advantage of the Town of Loyal.
