Site work for a civil project in Browns Valley, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of February 29, 2024, project was awarded to Joe Riley Construction., in the amount of $244,039.90.** The Browns Valley Diversion Project was constructed in 2012. During the spring of 2023 significant flooding caused sediment to be deposited within the diversion channel. This project will perform sediment removal to allow the project to function as designed. Relevant pages from the previous plan set are included for reference in Appendix B. The sediment removal will consist of excavating the "low flow channel" to the design grade from station 0+00 to station 56+00, excavating areas of the diversion channel with more than 1-foot of sediment deposited. The existing condition of the channel was surveyed in June 2023. This survey was used to calculate the excavation quantities shown in the Project Drawings and Specifications. The 2023 As-Built survey is shown in Appendix A. Question Deadline 01/31/2024 Site Directions: The diversion channel is approximately half a mile south of the City of Browns Valley on TH 4 and TH 24. No bid bond is required for this contract. Email proposals may be submitted to (Amber Doschadis, Administrator) amber@umrwd.org only if preceded by prior email coordination. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure the receipt of email bid submittals. No pre-bid meeting will be conducted for this project.
