As of March 5, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Hopewell Township supervisors are proposing to replace an existing culvert on an unnamed tributary to Brush Run. The culvert crosses beneath Fox Road. The existing culvert consists of two, 4-foot CPP pipes, with a length of 32.5 feet each. The Township proposes to replace them with an aluminum arch culvert, which will increase the flowable area from 25-sf. To 30.1-sf. The increased size will pass flood flows without loss of stability and allow for better movement of aquatic wildlife. USGS Streamstats reports the bankfull width at this location as 4.36-feet, with a depth of 0.397-feet. The proposed aluminum arch culvert will have a base span of 9'-7" and a rise of 4'-1". The culvert length is 36 feet. The project will have a permanent stream channel impact of 36 feet. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by the appropriate bid bond. No Bidder may withdraw his bid prior to one hundred twenty (120) days after the opening of bids. Hopewell Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. All requests for information must be received by 4:00pm, 5 days prior to the bid opening.
