The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bid or in the bid process, or, for reasons of establishing uniformity, delivery time or preference, to award the contract to other than the low bidder. All prices quoted are to be F.O.B., Middleville, Michigan. Price for installation must include all aspects of placing and securing the signs for use, as well as removing existing signs where applicable. All purchases and sales to the school district are exempt from all taxes, including state and federal taxes. Exemption certificates for the school district will be furnished upon request. The District is requesting a cost to replace just the letterboard with a double-sided full color electronic message center with 4G wireless data communication. Current dimensions of letterboard portion of sign are roughly 36" tall by 96" wide. The District is requesting a cost to refurbish this sign and bring it back to 'like new' condition with backlit LED lighting. Bid Bond: A bid bond equal to 5% of the base bid total must be included for any bid to be considered. The bid bond shall be in the form of either a CERTIFIED or CASHIER'S CHECK on an open and solvent bank or bid bond issued by a surety company payable to the Thornapple Kellogg Schools. Bid bonds will be released / returned after a purchase order and contract has been successfully executed with the chosen contractor. Thornapple Kellogg Schools is not responsible for the loss of bid security if provided by certified check.
