As of February 8, 2024, project has been awarded to Dykema Excavators Inc. In the amount of $1,840,462.75 The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: 5,500 feet of 16-inch water main including fittings, hydrants, and valves. 135 feet of 30" steel casing bore and jacked under M-44. Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration. Contractor must furnish adequate material, equipment, labor and supervision to complete the specified work, which also includes testing, inspection, and placing the system in operation. Contract documents may be examined online or at the offices of: Plainfield Charter Township, 6161 Belmont Avenue, Belmont, Michigan 49306 Prein&Newhof, 3355 Evergreen Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 And some local plan rooms. Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible/available only to those Bidders who are active members of the Prein&Newhof Plan Room. Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof. Prein&Newhof Plan Room members who want to purchase the hard copy of the drawings only, may do so for $36.00 dollars. A $15 dollar charge will be added to all mailed drawings and/or specifications. Fees are payable by cash or check only and are not refunded. The work to be performed under this contract will be paid for with Plainfield Charter Township local funds. All contract payments will be made by Plainfield Charter Township. Federal wages do not apply to this contract. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Plainfield Charter Township in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price must accompany each bid. This surety must bind the bidder for a period of ninety (90) days after the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least ninety (90) days thereafter. Completion dates are included in the Project Specifications, Section 1.03.02 - Project Schedule.
