This initiative is aligned with the objectives of the DOLA IHOP Grant, focusing on facilitating affordable housing opportunities and adapting to the community's evolving needs. * Comprehensive Review: Examine current Land Use Regulations, including zoning, development standards, and other related regulations.
* Effectiveness Analysis: Assess the efficacy of existing regulations in achieving organizational goals and addressing community needs.
Identification of Improvement Areas: Propose enhancements or streamlining measures for the regulations to better serve the county's evolving requirements.
* Recommendations and Strategies: Provide suggestions for revising and drafting new regulations, along with implementation strategies.
* Focus on Affordable Housing: Explore opportunities to encourage rural center density and develop previously inaccessible locations for affordable housing, based on a housing needs assessment and the impact of short-term rentals (STR) on local infrastructure.
* Community Engagement: Support public engagement and community input processes The County reserves the right to reject any materials tests or work that does not conform to the requirements of this IFB.
