General Information: The City of Gallup, NM is seeking bid proposals for construction of Green Street & 2nd Street Waterline Improvements 2024. This project will consist of installing a new 6-inch waterline, 8-inch waterline, and 10-inch waterlines in Green Street and 2nd Street (NM-610) in Gallup, NM. Work shall include fittings, valves, specials, trenching, backfilling, compaction, waterline tie-ins, transfer of existing water services, existing waterline removal, waterline abandonment and traffic control. Sidewalk, curb and gutter, valley gutters, drive pads, and asphalt removal will also be required. The Green Avenue waterlines consist of installing a new 6-inch waterline and a new 8-inch waterline. The new 6-inch waterline runs east from the intersection of Green Avenue and 2 Street (NM-610) to the intersection of Green Avenue and Puerco Drive, approximately 740 linear feet. The new 8-inch waterline runs east from the intersection of Green Avenue & Puerco Drive to the intersection of Green Avenue and Grandview Drive, approximately 1500 linear feet. The 2nd Street (NM-610) waterline consists of installing approximately 650 linear feet of new 10-inch waterline running south from the intersection of Green Avenue and 2nd Street (NM- 610) to the intersection of 2nd Street (NM-610) & Logan Avenue. Work shall include fittings, valves, specials, trenching, backfilling, compaction, waterline tie-ins, transfer of existing water services, existing waterline removal, waterline abandonment and traffic control. Sidewalk, curb and gutter, valley gutters, drive pads, and asphalt removal will also be required. This project is located in Gallup, New Mexico and will consist of installing two waterlines on Green Avenue between the intersections of 2 nd Street and Grandview Drive. The first waterline will consist of installing approximately 740 linear feet of new 6-inch AWW A C-900 DR-18 PV C waterline between the intersections of 2 n d Street and Puerco Drive. This will require a crossing and penetration of a stone wall drainage box with 40 feet of new 6-inch C900 DR18 Eagle Loc900 (or equal) carrier pipe in 30 feet of 10-inch steel casing with casing spacers. This item will also include two 8 foot 12-inch steel sleeves for the stone wall drainage box. A Copy of bid bond shall be submitted electronically with the bid and made payable to the owner in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid sum. Note : Original form of bid bond shall immediately be mailed to owner once bid proposal is determined low, responsive bid. Security shall be by a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond prepared on a form acceptable to the owner, issued by a surety licensed to do business in the state where the project is located. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in 100% of the contract amount. The Performance Bond shall also provide for a 1-year guarantee for materials and workmanship once contractor is considered substantially complete. The Bidder must agree to commence work on a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" issued by the Owner or his representatives and to fully complete the project within One Hundred Fifty (150) consecutive calendar days thereafter, including weather delays. All labor and work done by the contractor shall be warranted for a period of one year.
