Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Burlington, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This project is for the construction of playground, basketball court, asphalt pathway, shade structures, seating areas and tree/shrub plantings. The work shall includes but not be limited to the following work: o The removal of playground equipment, playground pea gravel surface, playground structure, playground ground level components, playground swings, basketball equipment, plastic curbs, concrete footings, chainlink fence, planting, asphalt and granular base material. o Tree protection fencing and Moduloc (or equivalent) site security fencing. o Excavation, removals and disposal of excess soil etc. o Rough grading, fine grading, topsoil application and sod placement. o Supply and install asphalt and concrete surfaces. o Supply and install concrete perimeter curbing and transition ramps. o Supply and install sub-surface drainage system for playground areas and sod areas. o Supply and install engineered wood fiber safety surfacing. o Supply and install site furnishings. o Supply and install shade structures. o Planting of trees and shrubs. o Coordinate only the installation of playground equipment with City of Burlington selected playground manufacturer. o Supply and install chainlink fence (provisional item only) Anticipated Award February 23, 2024 Construction Start April 22, 2024 Substantial Performance September 20, 2024 Total Completion/Start of Warranty Period October 18, 2024 Question Deadline: Wed Jan 31, 2024 2:00:00 PM (EST) The Bid submission must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a digital Bid Bond in an electronically verifiable and enforceable (e-Bond) format in the amount(s) not less than 5% of the total Contract Value, made payable to The Corporation of the City of Burlington as surety that, if the Bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into for the proper performance of the work.
