Notice is hereby given by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Schiller Park, Cook County, Illinois, that sealed bid proposals will be received for the following improvement: 2024 CONCRETE IMPROVEMENTS The work shall take place on several alleys as well as on several miscellaneous streets and parking lots throughout the Village in Schiller Park. The scope of work includes earth excavation, pavement removal, curb and gutter removal and replacement, PCC garage apron removal and replacement, PCC sidewalk removal and replacement, PCC alley pavement, edge grade adjustment, aggregate base course, type B, geotechnical fabric, hot mix asphalt surface, topsoil, sod, construction videotaping, installation of new 15" storm sewer, installation of new 12" D.I.P. storm sewer, metal trench grate, RDCB, connect new storm sewer pipe to existing structure and traffic control and protection Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. No proposals will be issued after 4:00 P.M., on Monday the 5th day of February 2024. All bid proposals offered must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check payable to the Village of Schiller Park in an amount which shall not be less than Ten Percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted by the Village, a contract will be entered into with the Village. No bid proposal shall be considered unless accompanied by such a bid bond or check. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the Proposals without the consent of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Schiller Park for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of bid opening. The Contractor and Subcontractor shall comply with all regulations issued pursuant to Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130), and other applicable Federal Laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards. The Village of Schiller Park reserves the right to determine the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder, to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bid proposals. Work on the project shall be prosecuted in such manner and with sufficient materials, equipment, and labor to insure its completion by May 31, 2024.
