The City of Topeka Property Maintenance Unit is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for mowing services, hereinafter referred to "jobs". Mowing services include mowing, trimming, edging, and removal of vegetation from private properties. The lowest awarded Contractor will receive a report on a daily basis of properties that need to be mowed. Each awarded Contractor will provide a designated email address, which the City's Property Maintenance Unit will use to provide the electronic property report. The Property Maintenance Unit staff will follow-up on the list and if the lowest bidding contractor falls outside of the ten (10) day window the Property Maintenance Director or their designee may award the job to next contractor. Once the lowest awarded contractor is caught up, the jobs will return to that lowest awarded contractor. If at any time a contractor falls behind by ten (10) days, the jobs will go to the next lowest contractor. Q And A Open18/01/2024 02:46:00 Q And A Close01/02/2024 04:30:00 The initial term of the resulting contract(s) will be from the date of execution through December 31, 2024 or until cancelled by either party with a sixty (60) day written notice. The contract(s) may be renewed for two additional one-year terms under the same terms, conditions, and pricing as mutual agreed upon. During any subsequent renewal term, either party without cause may terminate the agreement by giving a sixty (60) day written notice of termination to the other party. The City reserves the right to assign jobs based on the availability of contractors. The contractor will receive assignments from a City Property Maintenance Unit Manager or their designee to undertake jobs related to bringing properties into compliance.
