CR Number: 2105762 The Village of Deposit, located partially in the Town of Sanford (Broome County) and partially in the Town of Deposit (Delaware County), is requesting qualification statements from professional engineers or firms licensed to practice professional engineering in the State of New York to perform comprehensive evaluations of Village's water and sewer systems. The Village has completed various minor improvements to the municipal systems over time. Previous projects have repaired or replaced specific pieces of failing or outdated equipment, but have not considered the systems holistically with short- and long-term objectives and resiliency in mind. System evaluations will help determine existing and future needs, identify issues, and predict costs -- all while considering resiliency and sustainability. Comprehensive evaluations will be the basis for both short and long-term capital improvements to the systems. The outcome will be a Preliminary Engineering Reports (PER) for each that will detail the systems' shortcomings, and evaluate alternative improvement options and anticipated costs. This will enable the development of specific future implementation projects and the ability to seek funding for them.
