Remodeling of a municipal facility in Paso Robles, California. Conceptual plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.

The remodeling scope must include: o New office cubicles and chairs that standardize space allocations and increase the number of workspaces when compared to the current configuration o One additional conference area in a public access area o Security upgrades including electronic keying, public counter with secure gate, and creation of a safe room o New wallcoverings and paint o New carpet and resilient flooring. The City of El Paso de Robles City Hall/Library building was opened at 1000 Spring Street in 1995 and is comprised of approximately 28,680 gross square feet including an 18,000 square foot library on the ground floor and 10,000 square foot City Hall on the second floor. Although adjustments have been made to cubicle configuration and storage areas, the City Hall offices have not been remodeled in nearly 29 years A combination of growth in staffing, changes in service delivery models, and the need to implement modern security elements have proven a need for more staff work space, an additional meeting area, and upgraded facility security. Optimizing the currently unused space and standardizing what is currently being used to maximize capacity is desired. The attached Request for Proposals (RFP) describes the general project background and scope of services for remodeling Paso Robles City Hall. Located on the second floor of the City Hall/Library building at 1000 Spring Street, City Hall houses the City Managers Office and the Community Development, Public Works and Utilities Departments. The City anticipates awarding the design contract in March 2024 and having the design documents complete by July 2024. This Agreement creates a non-exclusive and perpetual license for City to copy, use, modify or reuse any and all Project Documents and any intellectual property rights therein. Designer shall require any and all subcontractors and consultants to agree in writing that City is granted a non-exclusive and perpetual license for the work of such subcontractors or consultants performed pursuant to this Agreement.
