The Project includes the following Work: Contract No. 1 - BASE BID General Construction: Work generally consists of approximately 19,743 square yards of bituminous pavement removal and replacement along with sub grade and sub base improvements; 22,361 square yards of geotextile fabric; 5,639 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter; 2,884 square feet of concrete valley gutter; 6,636 square feet of concrete driveway; 6,385 square feet of concrete sidewalk; 10 ADA pedestrian ramps; 4,537 linear feet of open-cut 8-10-inch PVC sanitary sewer pipe, service connections, sanitary sewer manholes and appurtenances; 5,126 linear feet of open-cut 4-10-inch PVC water main, water service connections, fittings, hydrants, and appurtenances; 2,402 linear feet of open-cut 12-36 inch RCP storm sewer, storm sewer manholes, storm sewer inlets, and appurtenances; 2,750 square yards of landscaping and seeding; erosion and traffic control; temporary water service; and sewer bypass pumping. Contract No. 1 - ALTERNATE #1 General Construction: Work generally consists of the work described under BASE BID, plus the following work: approximately 5,300 square yards of bituminous pavement removal and replacement along with sub grade and sub base improvements; 5,930 square yards of geotextile fabric; 980 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter; 728 square feet of concrete valley gutter; 1,547 square feet of concrete driveway; 1,770 square feet of concrete sidewalk; 127 square yards of concrete roadway; 2 ADA pedestrian ramps; 728 linear feet of open-cut 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer pipe, service connections, sanitary sewer manholes and appurtenances; 2,490 linear feet of open-cut 6-12-inch PVC water main, water service connections, fittings, hydrants, and appurtenances; 190 linear feet of open-cut 12-24 inch RCP storm sewer, storm sewer manholes, storm sewer inlets, and appurtenances; 410 square yards of landscaping and seeding; erosion and traffic control; temporary water service; and sewer bypass pumping. Contract No. 1 - ALTERNATE #2 General Construction will be considered for street surfacing described under BASE BID, consisting of 22,364 square yards of cement stabilization in lieu of geotextile fabric. Bidders may bid one or both surfacing options. Contract No. 1 - ALTERNATE #3 General Construction will be considered for street surfacing described under ALTERNATE #1, consisting of 5,930 square yards of cement stabilization in lieu of geotextile fabric. Bidders may bid one or both surfacing options. The Project has an expected duration of 8 months. Pre-bid Conference No pre-bid conference will be held for this project. Bidders are required to comply with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this regulation concern utilization of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women's Business Enterprises (WBE), and Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and are explained in the specifications. The goal for MBE is 2% of the total dollar value of the project. The goal for WBE is 3% of the total dollar value of the project.
