The Short-List of Qualifying contractors is now available. Bidding should be complete end of May 2024. The Work for the Magna WRF Influent Project comprises of the construction of a new influent pump station with three screw pumps, expansion and modifications of the existing intermediate pump station with two new submersible pumps, replacement of grit pumps and chamber equipment, construction of a new grit washing building with two grit washers, and all associated structural, architectural, mechanical, instrumentation, control, electrical, and site work. The Work for the Magna WRF Influent Project includes the construction of a new influent pump station with three screw pumps, expansion and modifications of the existing intermediate pump station with two new submersible pumps, replacement of vortex grit pumps and chamber equipment, construction of a new grit washing building with two grit washers, and all associated structural, architectural, mechanical, instrumentation, control, electrical, and site work. These upgrades to the facility are needed to prevent hydraulic backups in the collection system, provide additional pumping capacity for future projected flows, replace aging equipment, and add redundancy. The Work generally includes the following elements: 1. New influent pump station (60 hp installed capacity). 2. New 1,510 sq-ft Grit Washing Building with a process room and electrical room. 3. Excavation with high groundwater (dewatering activities). 4. Expansion of existing intermediate pump station (maximum 50 hp installed capacity). 5. Installation of Owner pre-procured equipment (screw pumps and grit washing equipment). 6. Yard piping, utilities, and civil site improvements. 7. Electrical and controls.
