Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Niles, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
This project is recreating the half block of 2nd Street between Sycamore and Main Streets for a public outdoor space. Included in this project is removal and replacement of HMA road, colored concrete, utility upgrades and extensions, installation of new above ground features such as entry gates, columns, stage columns, a firepit and various appurtenances. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to the OWNER or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price. Bond forms are included in the Contract Documents. Along with the bond documents, include three references for similar types of projects. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. The use of local contractors and labor is encouraged.
