The Berrien County Building and Grounds Department is seeking bids for South County Sheriffs Locker Rooms. Please note that if you have previously filled out the Affidavit of Compliance for the year 2024 it is not necessary to send another one Questions will be accepted in writing to Christian Bacchiocchi, PROJECT MANAGER, OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE, Bacchiocchi Construction Services, Inc. (e-mail christian@bacchiocchicsi.com) until February 12th, 2024 at 5 PM local time. A written response will be included in an ADDENDUM to be prepared by the OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE and sent to all BIDDERS via e-mail. The WORK under this contract shall commence within 30 calendar days after receiving Notice of Award of Contract from the OWNER, and must be completed within 60 calendar days after the work has begun. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to Berrien County of Michigan or a satisfactory BID bond executed by the BIDDER and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent (5%) of the BID shall be submitted with each WORK PACKAGE BID over $100,000. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, for all projects over $50,000. The County of Berrien Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bid Proposals, to Waive Any Informalities or Irregularities Therein, to Accept Proposals Other Than the Low Bid, and to Otherwise Act as Deemed to Be in Their Best Interest. BIDDER agrees that the WORK will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with the General Requirements & Conditions on or before Sixty (60) calendar days after work begins.
