Placer County is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified firms to provide professional engineering and material testing services for to perform non-destructive testing of butt welds on the Foresthill Bridge located near Auburn, California. The main goal of this project is to verify the soundness of the butt welds in tension in the fracture critical members. Work must be performed using ultrasonic testing and the acceptance criteria of the AASHTO/AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code.
