All federal, state, and local laws regarding competitive bidding, anti-competitive practices, and conflict of interest shall be applicable to this Request for Bids. The Town does not guarantee that any contract will be awarded because of this request. The Town of Hartford owns and maintains Bridge 527 along the Wilder Bike Path. This 10'+- wide by 50'+- long Arched Pratt-Style Prefabricated Steel Truss Bridge constructed in 2001 has "weathered" steel floor beams, stringers, and safety rails with 4x12 timber decking set on concrete headwalls with wing walls. The stringers, beams and steel angles securing the deck planks are in very poor or failing condition. The town has recently closed the bridge and seeks to implement a timely plan to reopen it.
