Consulting Services shall be provided on an as needed basis and may include but not be limited to the following: -Roof Inspections - Moisture Intrusion Surveys -Core Sampling and Asbestos Testing -Roof and Water Proofing System Condition Evaluations - to include analysis of condition and performance of existing roofing systems which will lead to recommendations by the firm concern repair or replacement of the existing roofing system. -Roof Repair and Replacement Design Documents -Budgetary Cost Estimating - Provide services to establish budgets for roof replacements, roof replacement schedules, survey deficiencies list, anticipated costs, photograph documentation, and roof test samples. -Quality Control Inspections -Roof System Maintenance Training -Warranty Claim Assistance and -Below grade waterproofing surveys The City of Jackson seeks Requests of Qualifications from roofing consultant firms or individuals to provide professional roof analysis, consulting services, and evaluation services for approximately 60 city-owned buildings. The project scope requires conducting onsite roof inspections, documenting existing roof conditions, and creating a priority repair/replacement list with budget estimates. Firms must demonstrate and submit evidence of the following: -Minimum 10 years' experience in roof inspection, analysis, and commercial roofing. -Licensed engineer or architect -Licensed to operate in the State of Tennessee -Experience with various roofing systems - EPDM, PVC, Asphalt, Metal etc. -List of 3 completed projects of similar size/complexity with customer references Use information in bid package to submit your bid. Any questions should be addressed, in writing, to Montrell Lawrence, mlawrence@jacksontn.gov. Potential bidders must review the bid package upon receipt to identify any questions and/or issues. Any/all questions should be submitted in a single request for addendum. Questions must be received by the City Wednesday at Noon prior to the scheduled opening. No oral interpretations or instructions given by any city employee or any other person shall apply. Changes relative to any solicitation will be in writing, in the form of an addendum. Minority business enterprises (MBE's) and disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE's) are encouraged to participate in the project. Bidders are encouraged to use MBE's and DBE"s as subcontractors in the performance of this project. The City reserves the right to postpone or reject any or all bids/rfps/rfqs, to waive informalities and to accept the Bid/RFP/RFQ judged to be in the best interest of the City. The City has the right to accept the lowest and/or best bid received. Lack of written notification of any delay in stated delivery time will be cause for discounted price of 1% per month until delivery is facilitated or cancellation of award. Unless otherwise stated, the City reserves the right to purchase like items at the same contract price for a period of one year from the award date subject to agreement of both parties. The City may cancel any contract for cause, or non-appropriation of funds, following written notification of intent.
